Nurse Summit 2012 Purpose: To explore the transformative power of nurse leadership across the continuum, from classroom to boardroom. Showcasing nurse leadership for students, charge nurses, academic leaders, direct care providers, and nurse executives, including exemplars from the bedside, and across the care continuum. Inspired by the 2010 IOM Report on the Future of Nursing, this conference is geared for nurses to create their own future for the decades to come.

All poster and concurrent session presenters must register for the conference and sign up for the sessions they plan to attend. The cut-off date for reserving a room at these special rates is 5:00 p.m. on March 26, 2012. Group rate is subject to availability and is offered on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis.

Navigating Transitions
The Nurse Leadership Summit 2011 was held April 7-8, at the Essex Inn and Spa, Essex, Vermont and the theme this year was Navigating Transitions with emphasis on the 2010 Institute of Medicine (IOM) Report and the Future of Nursing. The annual VONL Summit is an opportunity for nurses to expand leadership skills and workforce resources, to network within the profession, and to become informed about current issues impacting the practice setting and nursing education.
